My parents are well devotional and Paath [Reciting Holy Rhymes and Praying] for them is something like what comes every 6 months. I was in Pune when they called me to come back for this Paath on Sunday 8th Feb 2009. Well I had to come back leaving back all the fun in Pune. Thanks to Mr. Bansal, Thanks again, dude booked 14th Feb instead for me. I was stranded at the Mumbai Airport 11:30am with a 14th Feb ticket on the 7th Feb and a Rs1000 Note in my wallet with No More flights to Delhi/Chandigarh till 7:00pm. I had to go with 3 bags hanging on my shoulders, 2 Kms to Terminal 1 Air India just to inquire a flight. With Good Words for Mr Bansal, I called him and showered him with some nice poems and beautiful sayings in PUNJABI as I heard that the flight to Delhi was available at 1:00 late by 1 Hour and costing 8K.

Albeit I reached home at 11:30pm seeings that the Paath was not in the Gurudwara Sahib but at home only. I was thinking to take a bath and relax but the house was vacated by the family and bedding was on the floor with all my stuff messed up. Beher-haal cheers to my family’s chutzpah. I took the ground and completed the 4-5 hours of what ever sleep was affordable. Morning was chilly specially after yesterdays warm morning in Pune. Got ready and did the usual chores. Slowly people and friends started gathering. A lot of my friends and Preets friends from Australia were also present. People from Amritsar and Bathinda and Patiala had also come. Parents left no one un-invited. Its was a blessing in disguise also as I say that most of my friends and seniors caught this as a place to be.

This is the picture of a FCI Employees who are known for their kirtan well over the world who had come over on my dads request. Believe me for the first time I was enchanted with the kirtan which they did.

Just after this there was the Ardaas where the Paati announced the Paath was organized for the well being of the videshi as “Putter nu Videsh vich tarakkiyaa deniyaa” and lmao this whole mandeer went into a hidden burst of laughter, subsiding it from the people sitting nearby but in vain. Jassi could not even do that, he had to move out to cloak it.
